- Misstate or misinterpret actual law
- Provide outdated legal information

1. About Safe Appeals Cloud
What Safe Appeals Cloud Is
Void is a free, open-source code editor (a fork of VSCode) that integrates AI assistance to help you write code. Safe Appeals Cloud is an optional paid service that allows you to access large language models (LLMs) like Claude, GPT, and Gemini through a simple credit-based system, without needing to manage your own API keys.
What Safe Appeals Cloud Is Not
- Not a guarantee of model availability. Third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) may change, restrict, or discontinue their models at any time. We cannot guarantee that any specific model will always be available.
- Not a guarantee of response quality. AI outputs are generated by third-party models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific use case.
- Not a replacement for professional judgment. AI-generated code suggestions, explanations, or outputs should always be reviewed by a qualified human before use in production systems.
Free vs. Paid Options
- Free (BYOK): You can always use Void with your own API keys at no cost to us. Safe Appeals Cloud is entirely optional.
- Paid (Credits): If you prefer not to manage API keys, you can purchase credit packs to access LLMs through our service.
2. Account Terms
Eligibility
- You must be at least 19 years old (the age of majority in British Columbia) to create a Safe Appeals Cloud account and purchase credits.
- If you are under 19, you may only use Safe Appeals Cloud with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Account Rules
- One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions.
- Accurate information. You must provide accurate and current information when creating your account.
- Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us of unauthorized access. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@safeappeals.com.
Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have:
- Violated these Terms
- Engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Used the service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure
- Violated the terms of underlying LLM providers
3. Payment Terms
Credit Packs
Safe Appeals Cloud operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system:
| Pack | Price | Tokens |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $30 | 700,000 tokens |
| Standard | $60 | 1,400,000 tokens |
Token counts are approximate and may vary based on the specific model used.
Key Payment Terms
- All purchases are final. Credits are delivered instantly upon successful payment. Due to the instant-delivery nature of digital credits, we generally do not offer refunds.
- Refund exceptions. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for unused credits in exceptional circumstances (e.g., technical issues preventing credit use, duplicate charges). Contact support@safeappeals.com to request a refund review.
- Credits never expire. Once purchased, your credits remain in your account indefinitely until used.
- No subscriptions. We do not offer subscription plans. You only pay for what you buy, when you buy it.
- Price changes. We may adjust credit pack prices at any time. Any credits you have already purchased will be honored at their original value regardless of future price changes.
- Payment processing. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
Taxes
Prices displayed may not include applicable taxes (such as GST, PST, HST, or VAT). You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase based on your jurisdiction. For Canadian customers, applicable sales taxes will be calculated at checkout.
4. Acceptable Use
By using Safe Appeals Cloud, you agree to use the service responsibly and lawfully. You must NOT:
Prohibited Content
- Generate illegal content, including but not limited to: content that promotes violence, child exploitation material, or content that violates any applicable laws
- Generate content designed to harass, threaten, or harm individuals
- Generate malicious code, malware, or tools intended for unauthorized access to systems
- Generate content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
Prohibited Behavior
- Bypass rate limits or restrictions. Do not attempt to circumvent any technical limitations or rate limits we implement
- Resell or redistribute access. Do not resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized access to Safe Appeals Cloud to third parties
- Automated abuse. Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to abuse the service, scrape content, or consume resources in an unreasonable manner
- Account sharing. Do not share your account credentials with others or use the service on behalf of others without authorization
Third-Party Provider Compliance
Your use of Safe Appeals Cloud must also comply with the terms of service and acceptable use policies of the underlying LLM providers:
- Anthropic Usage Policy (Claude)
- OpenAI Usage Policies (GPT models)
- Google AI Terms (Gemini)
Violations of third-party provider terms may result in immediate suspension of your Safe Appeals Cloud access.
5. Intellectual Property
Your Content
- You own your prompts. The prompts, code, and inputs you provide to Safe Appeals Cloud remain your property.
- You own the outputs. Subject to any applicable third-party provider terms, you retain ownership of the AI-generated outputs you receive through Safe Appeals Cloud.
- We don't claim ownership. We do not claim any ownership rights over your prompts or the AI-generated content you receive.

- The Void editor software is open-source and licensed under its respective open-source license.
- The Safe Appeals Cloud service, including our infrastructure, branding, and proprietary systems, remains our property.

- We may collect and analyze anonymized, aggregated usage metadata (such as token counts and request volumes) for billing, service improvement, and capacity planning purposes.
- We do not log, store, or use the content of your prompts or AI responses for training AI models or any purpose other than delivering the service to you.
6. Disclaimers
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY.
"As Is" Service
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Safe Appeals Cloud is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of AI outputs
Note: Certain warranties cannot be excluded under Canadian law. Where such warranties apply, they are limited to the minimum required by applicable legislation.
No Uptime Guarantee
We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:
- 100% uptime or availability
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- That any specific AI model will remain available
- Response times or performance levels
AI Output Accuracy
AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or entirely wrong. Large language models can:
- Produce factually incorrect information
- Generate code with bugs, security vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies
- Provide outdated information
- "Hallucinate" information that seems plausible but is fabricated
You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any AI-generated content before using it.
Not Legal, Medical, Financial, or Professional Advice
⚠️ THIS IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT FOR SAFEAPPEALS USERS:
SafeAppeals and Safe Appeals Cloud are software tools only. They are NOT designed to provide, and you should NEVER rely upon them for:
- Legal advice — We are not lawyers. We do not practice law. AI outputs are not legal advice.
- Medical advice — AI outputs are not medical guidance.
- Financial advice — AI outputs are not financial recommendations.
- Any professional advice — AI does not replace qualified professionals.
Specific Warnings for Legal Use
- AI can cite fake cases. Large language models frequently "hallucinate" case citations, statutes, and legal principles that do not exist.
- AI can misstate the law. Even when citing real sources, AI may misinterpret or incorrectly apply legal principles.
- Legal deadlines are critical. AI does not track your deadlines. Missing a filing deadline can permanently harm your case.
- Jurisdictions vary. Legal rules differ by province, state, and country. AI may apply the wrong jurisdiction's law.
- Your case is unique. AI cannot understand the full context of your situation the way a licensed attorney can.
You Must
- Verify all AI outputs before relying on them
- Consult a licensed attorney before taking legal action
- Never file AI-generated content without professional review
- Assume AI content may be wrong until independently verified
We Accept No Responsibility For
- Legal outcomes of any kind
- Content you create or file using our tools
- AI hallucinations, errors, or omissions
- Your decisions based on AI outputs
AI-generated content does NOT create an attorney-client relationship and is NOT a substitute for legal counsel.
7. Limitation of Liability
Maximum Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO VOID CLOUD SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
If you have not paid us anything, our maximum liability is limited to $50 CAD.
Excluded Damages
WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from your reliance on AI-generated outputs
- Damages caused by third-party services (LLM providers, Stripe, etc.)
- Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss
Exceptions
Some jurisdictions, including certain Canadian provinces, do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above limitations may not apply, and you may have additional rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
8. Data and Privacy
Privacy Policy
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision in the future.
